Ocean Hermit – sailing, solitude and stories

My plans to retrace Captain Cook's unfinished voyage have been postponed a year while I work on the next Marine Diesel Basics book and get my new boat SV Oceandrifter ready for sea.

Sailboat of dreams (10) – “Hanna” of Australia

Another “bulletproof” sailboat of dreams. This Tahitiana was built in 1984 and was listed for sale in Buddina, Queensland, Australia in January 2010. See the photo gallery.

Draft 4’6″

Though the designer is listed as Jack Hanna, this is not correct. John Hanna designed the Tahiti ketch, which Weston Farmer modified with more canvas (more horsepower for a sailboat) and adapted the design for steel rather than wood.
