My plans to retrace Captain Cook's unfinished voyage have been postponed a year while I work on the next Marine Diesel Basics book and get my new boat SV Oceandrifter ready for sea.
Had a surprise there………we sold our Tahitiana in Ontario many years ago. I wondered if you had bought ours & re-fitted her but I think not. Ours was called Sam Scratch and was sloop rigged; we sailed her across the Atlantic.

Robin
Great to hear from you. I don’t think it’s the same vessel – the previous owner (only the second) called her Barbarick, and he imported her directly from New England. Glad to hear Sam Scratch carried you safely across the Atlantic – I am intending to leave Newfoundland about July 12th this summer to sail to Azores, Canaries, Capo Verde and then west to Panama.
